About Created in Birmingham

Created in Birmingham aims to link up the city’s artistic and creative communities - the musicians, artists, designers, writers and so on.

The creative industries have been said to be at the heart of the new, regenerated Birmingham. CiB tries to make sense of who’s doing what and where; informing the city as a whole and helping the creatives themselves to find out about each other.

If it also has the side-effect of prodding people (especially the aforementioned creative types) into discovering how simple and effective it can be to engage with audiences online, well, so much the better.

Created in Birmingham was joint-winner of the MediaGuardian Innovation Award for Independent Blog 2008.
