How To Enter Your Work

Entering your work in the Humphreys is pretty straight forward with just a few steps to complete before your fellow WordCamp UK delegates can start voting on your work.

  1. Register with The Humphreys.
  2. Log Into The Humphreys.
  3. Create a Post for each of The Humphreys’ categories in which you want to enter your work.

Register With The Humphreys

The first step in entering your work in The Humphreys is registering with this site.

  1. Click here to register with The Humphreys.
  2. Enter a Username and your e-mail address then click the Register button.

This will create a user account for you and send a password to your e-mail address.

Login

Once you’ve been e-mailed your password you can log into The Humphreys. Click here to log into The Humphreys.

Create a Post

Once you’ve logged in you’ll be able to create a Post for your work.

Note: To ensure the voting system works properly (it runs off WordPress Categories) you need to create a new Post for each Humphreys’ category that you want to enter your work into.

To create a Post:

  1. Click the Write button.
  2. Enter the name of you blog/plugin as the Post Title.
  3. Enter the URL of your blog/plugin home page in the Post pane as well as a brief description of your entry and the additional information (see below).
  4. Select one Category into which you want to enter your work.
  5. Click the Submit for Review button.

Please refer to the WordPress Codex for more information about creating Posts.

Note: Please don’t select multiple Categories on a Post but create one Post for each category into which you want to enter.

So, if you want to enter your blog into the Theme category and the Content category you should add one Post for which you select the Theme Category and another Post for which you select the Content Category.

Please supply the name of and (if available) a link to the Theme designer.

Additional Information for Single Post Entries

Please supply the URL of the post that you want to enter in the Single Post category.

Please add a few sentences about why you selected the post for entry into The Humphreys

Additional Information for Plugin Entries

Please add a description of what the Plugin does.

Please supply the name of and (if available) a link to the Plugin designer.

Don’t worry about taking and uploading screen shots of your work. I’ll do that when I publish your entry.
